TTC Land brings a warm Mid-Autumn Festival to children in special circumstances

On September 23rd, 2018 within the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival, Food Bank Vietnam in cooperation with Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate Joint Stock Company - TTC Land hold the program "Full moon for children" for children at Nhat Hong Shelter and the neighboring riverside village in An Phu Ward, District 2.

Volunteers from Food Bank Vietnam prepare food for visually impaired children at Nhat Hong shelter

Within the chains activities named cozy meals, Foodbank Vietnam on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival had visited the Nhat Hong Shelter in Thu Duc District, where nearly 100 blind people are being raised and provided vocational training. Early in the morning, nearly 20 volunteers came here to decorate, prepare more than 60 meals, with many gifts for more than 40 children, nuns and teachers at the Shelter. At the celebration, children were instructed to play movement games, singing exchange and to learn about the Mid-Autumn Festival, etc.

Mid-Autumn Festival is the occasion of organizing the lanterns festival, eating traditional Mid-Autumn specialties for children, but in small riverside neighborhoods along An Phu Ward, District 2, there are still children suffering material and spiritual deprivation and they have never been enjoying a full moon festival as many others. With the purpose of sharing food and making fun for children, Food Bank Vietnam has visited, organized folk games, serving Mid- Autumn festival specialties with Chi Hang and Chu Cuoi as well as sending gifts to more than 50 children here.

Ms. Mai Thi Quy, Food Bank Vietnam's Team Leader, shared that: "Food Bank Vietnam has been carrying out its mission: to share food from redundant places, to places where it is needed”. With special program this time, Food Bank Vietnam is very happy to cook delicious meals for children at Nhat Hong Shelter as well as to send Mid- Autumn Festival gifts to the children in the neighborhood riverside of District 2. In the coming time, Food Bank will continue to carry out many cozy feasts to people in special circumstances and will have many projects to develop food network in Vietnam in the future.

This Mid-Autumn Festival for children has received the cooperation from Saigon Thuong Tin Real Estate Joint Stock Company - TTC Land, Qui Phuc Co. Ltd, UniDeli Vietnam Food Joint Stock Company, OHA Coffee & Tea chain stores.
