In the afternoon of February 11th, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association and TTC Group organized a distribution of 20 tons watermelon to officials and employees. This program aims to support the consumption of 20 tons of watermelon for farmers affected by the nCoV pandemic.

Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, said that with the situation that many types of Vietnamese agricultural products were facing difficulties in consumption because China stopped buying, the Young Entrepreneurs Association decided to support. farmers, enterprises in the chain of production, supply and export to buy all 40 tons of watermelons and dragon fruits from the Central Highlands provinces in the harvest season.
Initially, on Feb 11th, 2020, the first 20 tons of watermelon were shipped from Gia Lai to TTC Group at No. 253, Hoang Van Thu, Ward 2, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
Then, this week, it is expected that 20 tons of dragon fruits will also arrive at TTC Group's headquarters.
Accordingly, TTC Group's employees and officials will help consume 40 tons of watermelon and dragon fruits.
According to Ms. Ho Thi Phuong Thao - Deputy General Director of TTC Group, in front of social difficulties, TTC and the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association actively shared and supported the purchase of agricultural products from farmers.
"This action is small, but I hope to alleviate anxiety and help farmers free up inventories," she emphasized.
Currently, many agricultural products have been congested at the border gates, causing enterprises and farmers owning large quantities of fruits such as dragon fruits, watermelons in harvest more anxiously.
Therefore, after this emergency support, Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association will discuss to figure out more options on long-term support for enterprises and farmers.
